UNHCR is the leading UN agency in this field. ReliefWeb is the information source on global crises and disasters – enabling humanitarian workers to make informed decisions and to plan effective response.

The Red Cross is also involved and pays attention to those disabled in conflict situations: providing physical rehabilitation to people injured by landmines or other explosives, as well as in a large variety of other types of incident.
